I Burnt that Cross for my Grandpa, not for his Interracial Neighbors

Daniel Danforth of Minden was convicted in Federal District Court today of civil rights conspiracy, use of fire in the commission of a federal felony, and obstruction of justice.
Danforth burned a cross near the home of an interracial couple in Athens, Louisiana. Danforth admitted that he and his cousins burned the cross, made of small pine trees, not to intimidate the interracial couple, but just so his grandfather could see it.

  1. Ain't it sweet to see young people doing nice things to feed their grandpa's nostalgia?
