Candidates qualify for City Marshal's office

Carl Richard and Sammy Wyatt both qualifed with the Bossier Parish Clerk of Court this morning for the City Marshal position that is on the April 2 ballot.
Richard and Wyatt both indicated that they intend to run an above board campaign, with their emphasis on selling themselves and their qualifications to the voters.
Both said they will not engage in any negative campaigning toward the other candidates, and so far in this election that has proved to be true.
As a side note, Clerk of Court Cindy Johnston is up for re-election this fall.  So far, I have not heard any talk about a challenger.  Not so, however, for Tax Assessor Bobby Edmiston; I have heard that someone else is preparing to run, but I don't have a name yet.  We'll work on that.

That is approaching on the bizarre and is not convincing in the least. A weak attempt to justify a cheap shot mailout, but it won't work.

  8. Lynn Austin is a person who would take care of a friend and protect that friend at all costs, even if it was at the expense of others.

  10. Anon @ 1:28, I know, seen it with my own two eyes. It's a masonic thing. A masonic brother must be protected at all costs, even if it means screwing over someone completely innocent.

  12. Anon @ 9:39, I hope you are right, but there are a lot of uninformed people in Bossier City that goes by name recognition only. If those people knew the truth Lynn Austin wouldn't have a snowball's chance in Hell of winning.

  13. anon 9:75 - don't worry about the uninformed. Austin should worry about the Uniformed. The men and women that were bossier city uniforms are telling everyone what sort of managment style Mr. Austin used at city hall.

It aint pretty. Circle of Life - what comes around goes around

And yes, I am a bcpd officer and alot of my friends are for anyone but Austin - and we will be voting.

and any threats to our union is not appreciated.
