Ex-Sheriff Indicted
Former Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen, along with Clinton Blakey & Clifton Blakey, have been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury.
The charges against each are Federal Program Theft and conspiracy to commit Federal Program Theft. The Blakeys are also charged with a tax violation in failing to file an IRS Tax Form 8300 on the transaction.
The Times has the best account of the scheme, you can read it here.

ReplyDeleteOh, shut up.
ReplyDeleteAnon at 1202 i have my popcorn out and looking forward to the show. Th Is I s about to get interesting.
ReplyDelete12:02 AM - The person you named is not a public official and has nothing to do with this indictment so I deleted your comment.
ReplyDeleteWell they had the firing of a Deputy, and now this, BPSD is not doing well this week.
ReplyDeleteWhen and where does he get booked? I want to see his mug shot. Lol

ReplyDeleteThe case was given to Schuyler but here's a surprise, he wouldn't prosecute it. So the state police got the FBI involved. Oops
ReplyDeleteI bet the snakes are starting to bite each other.
ReplyDeleteMr. Wells, why remove the comments about Mr. Jerry Juneau, Mr. Schuyler Marvin, Mr. Lynn Austin, and Mr. Jimmy Hall? They are all involved in many areas of questionable activity with Larry Dean for many, many years. Extremely reliable sources state they are all now persons of interest on expanded investigations as well.
ReplyDeleteName your extremely reliable sources and I will allow it to stand.
DeleteJerry Juneau was a public official until he was kicked off the Louisiana Gaming board during the last Bossier City Marshal election for illegally violating the Louisiana State Code of Governmental Ethics by making contributions and supporting political candidates. I can post the ethics board minutes if you would like. Juneau continues to try to be a political figure behind the scenes in Bossier City / Bossier Parish politics telling judges, sheriffs, the Bossier City Police Chief, Bossier City Mayor, Bossier City Council Members, Police Jury members, and other officials how to vote. Look at all of their contribution records except that of the appointed police chief and he is appointed by the mayor. Juneau is no different than Edwin Edwards. Once you serve in government, and are disgraced, you are fair game to be exposed for all of your corruption and all of the corrupt connections.
ReplyDeleteJuneau is quite different from Edwin Edwards. He has never served in an elected position and hjas never been convicted of bribery and sent to prison. As to being disgraced, that's a stretch. He was appointed to a state board and when it was shown that he had contributed to a campaign he resigned from that position, he wasn't kicked off. I don't know what your vendetta is against him, but give it a break.
DeleteI hear the train a comin'
DeleteIt's rolling round the bend
And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when,
I'm stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin' on
But that train keeps a rollin' on down to San Antone..
When I was just a baby my mama told me. Son,
Always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns.
But I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die
When I hear that whistle blowing, I hang my head and cry..
Sincerely,
Johnny Cash
The United States Assistant District Attorney needs to offer immunity to Larry Dean if he will testify against three other Bossier City / Bossier Parish Officials. They need to offer immunity to the Blakey brothers so they will do the same. It's time to take down this Bossier City / Bossier Parish racket!
ReplyDeleteI am not Mr. Wells, but I think can answer your question. The indictments are fact. All others who you name are highly suspicions and innuendoes. Just be patient.
ReplyDeleteBingo
DeleteIt's nothing personal. No vendetta. You know we can't disclose our sources. It will all come out soon enough. They are easy because of their arrogance and belief in being "the law" or "above the law"! Not just one, but the entire group of them including Larry Dean. We can't divulge specifics as you are aware, but soon, Mr. Wells, very soon!!! That's all I can say... They have left a wonderful trail. Those type of people usually do...
DeleteJim, the poster is correct on Juneau's connections and ties to all of the people mentioned.
ReplyDeleteSo what? A lot of people have connections to the people mentioned. That's not a crime or even improper.
DeleteCould be!!! LOL... I guess time will tell...
DeleteIt's going to be funny to watch. All of the corrupt politicians and the corrupt supporters who benefitted from public bribery and influence for so many years are now about to start turning on each other like the snakes they are! What goes up, must come down! Here is the great thing! Anyone now convicted of these crimes involving their public office will now lose the public retirement!!!
ReplyDeleteI feel tears wellin' up cold and deep inside
ReplyDeleteLike my heart's sprung a big break
And the stab of loneliness, sharp and painful
That I may never shake
Now you might say that I was taking it hard
Since you wrote me off with a call
But don't you wager that I'll hide the sorrow
When I may break right down and bawl
Now the race is on and here comes pride up the backstretch
Heartaches are going to the inside
My tears are holding back
They're trying not to fall
My heart's out of the running
True love's scratched for another's sake
The race is on and it looks like heartaches
And the winner loses all
Sincerely,
George Jones
Are you Roscoe, Enos, or maybe Boss Hog?
ReplyDeleteMan I was looking for dirt, and all I have found is mud slinging, I think Dean must have many people afraid of him, and it shows because no one like Little frank is saying a thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd the politicians throwing stones
ReplyDeleteSo the kids they dance they shake their bones
Cause its all too clear we're on our own
Sing ashes to ashes, all fall down
Ashes to ashes, all fall down
Sincerely,
Robert Hunter
