Whit Graves announces candidacy for Judge

Whit Graves made it official last night. He formally announced his candidacy for the vacancy caused by Judge Bolin's retirement. Former Louisiana Supreme Court Justice Joe Bleich is filling the seat until the election.
Graves served for 12 years with the Louisiana State Police, then completed law school in Baton Rouge at LSU. He served for 12 years as an ADA in Bossier Parish, and has been in private practice for 12 years.
He will have a campaign website and a Facebook page up soon. We will let you know when they are available.

  6. Out of the three candidates that I know about, I want to vote against the other two more than Whit Graves. I don't remember ever voting "FOR" any candidate, but I usually go to the polls to vote "AGAINST" the greater evil. I certainly do not want Mike Nerren to be another judge in cahoots with Skylar Marvin.

  7. 8:59 you are sensitive about this. No one commented so I was wondering if anyone who reads the blog went. I was not there as I didn't get an invite. I was invited to Nerren's and he had a good turn out during bad weather. How many people showed up?

  12. Mr. Graves is literally the bees knees. Saved my life and future! I remember the intial consultation with him. He was VERY humble. He stuck by me all the way while my what seemed like a lifetime of court dates and such that just kept rolling on. I hope he wins. I truly do.
