Special Award: Princeton man clocked at 102 on Hwy 80
A Bossier deputy tracked on radar 18-year-old Garrett W. Smith of the 1700 block of Allenwood driving his Mustang on Highway 80 near the Haughton Animal Hospital at 102 miles per hour around 11 p.m. Saturday night. The posted speed limit is 55 mph. The deputy pursued the speeding vehicle with his lights and siren activated, but Smith wouldn't stop. Smith turned north on Princeton Road and then stopped on Jennifer Lane. When the deputy made contact with driver, he asked Smith if he saw him in pursuit, to which Smith replied, "Yes." When the deputy asked Smith why he didn't stop when he saw the deputy, Smith said, "I don't know."
Smith was charged with speeding, flight from an officer and careless operation and then transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for booking; his bond is set at $1,500.

Recent Bossier Parish Arrests
A Bossier City teenager was arrested Tuesday afternoon for witness intimidation, according to Bossier Parish Sheriff Larry Deen. Jacob Marvin Husser, 18, of the 5200 block of John Wilson Drive, was taken into custody after he intentionally intimidated a witness who was sitting in the back seat of a Bossier Sheriff’s investigator’s vehicle. The investigator was interviewing a witness regarding a number of crimes Husser has committed. While the interview was in progress, Husser pulled up to the investigator’s vehicle and told the witness he better not talk.
The investigator told Husser to leave, but he circled the block and came back a second time. He gave the witness a very intimidating look and again told him he better not talk. This was done in a very aggressive manner, making the witness fear for his safety.
Husser was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked. His bond is pending.
Also from the Bossier Parish SheriffA Princeton man was arrested early Sunday morning for false imprisonment, domestic abuse battery/child endangerment, domestic abuse battery/strangulation, battery and aggravated assault, said Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen.
Daniel Kenneth Raleigh Randall, 21, of Acorn Hill Loop, was taken into custody after he choked his girlfriend in the presence of two minor children, threatened his girlfriend’s mom with a gun, refused to let his girlfriend leave and choked his neighbor. The neighbor told Bossier Sheriff’s deputies Randall attacked him because he let Randall’s girlfriend call the Bossier Sheriff’s Office from his residence.
Randall’s girlfriend told deputies she and Randall have been living together for about two years. She said Randall came to the residence drunk, started yelling at her and choking her. She was able to get away and go to the neighbor’s house, but eventually, she went back to her house where Randall grabbed a gun and threatened to kill her and her mother. The girlfriend told Randall she just wanted to leave, but Randall said no one was going anywhere. She said Randall was waving the gun around while he was saying this.
Randall was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked. His bond was set at $21,500.
Randall has a history in Bossier Parish of violent behavior and drug possession and has been charged several times. Here is that record. The Domestic Abuse Battery charges and the Simple Battery charge were all committed against the same female. In a number of domestic abuse cases, the injured party asks that the charges be dropped. I don’t know if that is what happened here, but I wouldn’t be surprised.

Losing their religion
Deputies said Hensley told them his girlfriend started swinging at him and he pushed her into the refrigerator.
Both face charges of domestic abuse battery. Hensley was taken to jail; Cason was issued a summons to come to court to answer the charges because she has a 14-year-old son who has no one to care for him, Deen said.
From KTBS
Another Haughton couple was arrested Monday night for domestic abuse battery.
Clyde Davis, 52, and Joe A. Davis, 55, both of the 600 block of Joe Lewis Road, were taken into custody after they got involved in a physical altercation at their house. The verbal confrontation became physical after Clyde Davis put his wife, Joe Davis, in a headlock. Joe Davis, who was armed with a pistol, bit her husband on the arm.
The two ended up on the ground and started wrestling. At that point, Joe Davis dropped her pistol and secured herself in the house. She told Bossier Sheriff’s deputies she then heard one round discharge from the gun as she was calling the Bossier Sheriff’s Department. Clyde Davis would not tell deputies if he fired the pistol. He told them he simply put the gun in his truck.
The couple was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked. Their bonds are pending.
