The Coin is in the Air
Who will it be?
A week ago I was sure it would be D. C. Machen. Now, I think it's a pretty even bet in any direction, with momentum (in my opinion) favoring Scott Smith.
I hope that hearsay of a candidate's relative calling asking for support of his/her relative is not true. That is stooping to bullying in the worst fashion due to his/her political office!!!!
The sheriff called both dc - offered to get him the votes if he would choose his sister - the offer was refused. The sheriff then contacted scott smith and offered a similar deal - again refused. What you know about these two men is that they are not for sale and that their honor is in tact. Both have made and will continue to make bossier parish schools the best in our part of the state. Good luck gentlemen - I hope the sheriff and his fear and intimidation tactics have not worked.
Just because we are changing leaders does not mean there is a change. The last significant change came when J. Smith was replaced by Kruitof. Any of these choices will not be a significant change. If the board wanted to be taken seriously by the citizens, then they should have picked someone from outside the system. This vote, whoever is picked, will not change the central office, it will be more of the same.
the sheriff got his butt whipped - man did he really try to bastardize this process - he is a paper tiger - good for the school board members that didnt fall for his arm twisting and intimidation
Rules of the road: 1. No personal attacks or insults. 2. No accustory statements about wrongdoing or criminal acts against anyone. 3. Say all you want about the pros and cons concerning the candidates and the issues, or the general subject of the blog post, just follow Rule #1 and Rule #2.

ReplyDeleteI am going to absolutely howl laughing when the first vote is

ReplyDeleteNOT TRUE about the Sheriff... he would NEVER do this. Jane Smith, however, has been calling everyone in her phone book for 2 days. Didn't help much!
ReplyDeleteWhat a joke this "vote" was. Tammy Smith had her congratulations speech already written. There should be a recall!!
ReplyDeleteIf anyone would like to participate in a board recall petition email your concerns to

ReplyDeleteHarping on the sheriff makes you sound like an idiot. His sister didn't even win. Not the crook in this situation.
ReplyDeleteLets get one thing straight right now. We've got a thug for a sheriff. He would do anything for his own political gain.
