Former Speaker Newt Gingrich will be in town Monday evening for a fundraiser at attorney Norman R. Gordon’s home. Admission to the event is $250 per person.
On Tuesday morning at 8:30 Gingrich will hold a town hall style meeting at Strawns Eat Shop Too on East 70th Street.
Rick Santorum made appearances Sunday morning at First Baptist Church in Bossier and at Calvary Baptist Church. He flew on to Baton Rouge to campaign at the LSU-Mississippi State baseball game.
Mitt Romney will be in town Friday for a fundraiser at the Petroleum Club. The event is being sponsored by Rep. Rodney Alexander and Paul Dickson.
The Louisiana primary is on Saturday, March 24th.
Santorum wasn't campigning, he was just sharing his testimony. Bwahahahaha.
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm...regardless of what Anon at 6:00 pm said, I find it interesting that Rodney Alexander is hosting a fund raiser for Romney.
ReplyDeleteOkay. I'm casting my ONE pitiful vote for Santorum.
And, I don't even go to church.
I'd actually (really) like to meet Newt, but $250 is a little steep. And, I try to stay as far away from attorneys as possible.
Just sayin'...
6:48,
ReplyDeleteActually $250 is pretty cheap to eat dinner with a presidental candidate. If memory serve me correct. It would have cost you $2500 to eat with City Marshal Lynn Austin.
Just sayin
Heh!
ReplyDeleteWonder what it will cost when he runs for mayor
ReplyDeleteNewt Gingrich visiting someone's home, Rick Santorum going to two local churches and Mitt Romney at the Petroleum Club.I wonder who is in touch with the people and their needs?
ReplyDeleteOnce again our nation will show its apathy and the majority will not even show up to vote for the presidential or any other local election. Until we wake up and turn out to vote there will never be "CHANGE"!
ReplyDeleteNone of the Repubs will be able to beat Obama. As usual La. will be at the bottom of the pile. All of you who voted far right for local State Reps and Senators will now see our schools destroyed, family and friends who work for the state lose their job or retirements taken away and more unemployment. I wish our voters would wake up, vote for middle of the road minded politicians and vote in folks who represent the average person who lives paycheck to paycheck if they have a job. Look at how Gov. Jindel is acting and how untransparent he has become. Far righters are reaping what they have sowed and we all will pay the price. I look for even more cuts for Barksdale and Fort Polk as a result of our congressional delegations declaring war on getting Obama relelected. Supporters reap the benefits and opposers reap nothing. I am not liberal nor am I moving to Shreveport. I just want to see good government living within its means serving the common man, not serving far right interests! Vote far right and your children and grandchildren will be uneducated and poverty bound and their will be nothing for the common person which most of us are.

ReplyDeleteYour comment has to be a joke. Nobody could really believe that it is the right wing that is hurting the country. Do you think Obama is governing from the middle?
Agree with 1:14 PM comment.
ReplyDeleteClinton was a master at compromise. There is NO argument against the financial/fiscal status of our country at the end of his administration.
3:19,,,,
ReplyDeleteAfter rereading 1:14 I see no where in that post about your statement. He/she simply states none of the republican candidates will not beat Obama. Will you label me an Obama lover?
Tehehe!
