BCPD promotes five

Five Bossier City Police officers were promoted to the rank of Sergeant this morning.  Congratulations to:

Darren Barclay, Violent Crimes Unit
Chris Estess, K-9 unit
Kevin Humphrey, Internal Affairs Division
Jeremy Kennedy, United States Marshal’s Violent Fugitive Task Force
Murray Wells, Training Division. As some of you know, Murray is my son.  I'm a very proud dad today.

Jim Wells, Murray Wells

  1. As you should be, Jim.

I only know Murray from three occasions that I've crossed paths with him. Once in a training session that he lead, and twice on my job.

I was impressed, and found it hard to believe that he's got your genes. But, I'm trusting you on that one.

He is a fine man. He exudes confidence, competence, and humility. Those are rare in one human.

You should be proud. We are proud of all of them.

There are likely to be commentors behind this one that stink up the joint with stinky junk about the BCPD, the administration, the City Council, how Jimmy Hall is the devil, etc.

I hope they don't, but they probably will.

This is a day to celebrate achievement. I do.

  5. Anon 6:49,

Please do not ignore your essential non-saftey personal.

    This wage/hire promotion ordinance???

Is it still in effect?? Why do you not give the rest a morale boost??

Congratulations PD promotion getters. Well deserved as other city employees are also well deserved, yet totally ignored and are considered bottom feeders.

    Get to it council members!!

  6. Jim - What genius decided to put our officers in cars run on CNG. Has anyone else looked at the sites on U-Tube showing these cars when they are damaged? (explode, fire) Let us ask GOD to watch over all of them, all of the time and especially in the new CNG cars. God Bless you & yours.

  7. 11:21,
Haven't you figured it out yet? Officer safety is not a concern of this mayor. He built 2 city owned gas stations and we are going to use them dang it. He has an agenda: cyber innovation and green energy. It will happen no matter the cost.

  8. Matt Sciba had some info on the Dallas PD changing some vehicles to CNG and then back again. I'll see if he can provide us a link.
