RPEC meeting gets heated

The Bossier Parish Republican Executive committee met yesterday to discuss the endorsement of Whit Graves by the State Republican Party. Both Mike Nerren and Whit Graves were present. I'm told that the proceedings got a little heated at times.
The end result was a vote to send a letter to Baton Rouge asking the state party to either rescind the endorsement of Graves or to endorse Nerren also.
I don't know that the electorate at large is paying much attention. This is primarily stuff for the politicians and for political geeks who enjoy the inner workings of the system.
Bismarck once said that 'laws are like sausages, it is better not to see them being made'. This is the sausage making of the election process.
If the state party does take action, Mr. Nerren won't have much time to take advantage of it, but with the election just a week away I don't think it will affect the results one way or the other. Personally, I believe that most people know who they are going to vote for at this point, and the folks who go out to vote in an election for just this one office definitely have an opinion.
With all of that said, so far as it goes it is an advantage to Team Nerren.

  2. Jim, can you get a copy of the letters that were sent to the state party?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Could you find out how Whit's endorsement has to be rescinded? Since the state issued the endorsement verbally to his consultant John Kay and nothing was in writing-- does the endorsement even exists? Does a verbal endorsement have to be rescinded verbally or in writing?

  4. The meeting was heated. Collier and Ann Price actually thought their dirty politics was going to help Whit secure an endorsment from the PEC. I heard they were fit to be tied when the vote was on Nerren's side. Whoever voted against those two must be brave cause those are the two most politically vindictive manipulative people in Bossier. They put politics above party and had to eat crow.

  5. ANON at 10:45-- did you know that Whits campaign manager John Kay is also on the State Central Committee of the State Party with Ann Price and that they asked the State party to endorse Whit without even giving Nerren a chance to speak to them? No one else called and asked for the endorsement-- so two people -- one that's not even from this area, were able to get the Republican Party of the State of Louisiana to issue an endorsement without even seeking local input! It really taints the party and the endorsement--

    ReplyDelete
  6. So whit did not seek the endorsment of the state party, nerren was not contacted by the state party, there are only republicans in the race and the state issued a VERBAL endorsement of Whit after a secret phone call based on half truths---

    ReplyDelete
  7. I heard Duke Lowery gave his PROXY to ANN PRICE!! that's crazy-- he gave his vote to ANN PRICE and did not even come to the meeting.

    ReplyDelete
  8. ANON at 10:54-- it gets worse--- everyone in Bossier Parish that runs is a republican-- so every race is going to have two or three republicans in it. Ann Price and Mike Collier will get to hand pick who will get the state republican party endorsement based only on who they feel will secure more power for them.

    ReplyDelete
  9. The biggest news out of the meeting was that NERREN knew he had the votes to get an endorsement by the local pec, BUT ASKED THE PEC not to endorse him because it would HURT the PARTY to endorse a republican in a race where the only contenders are republican--- he sounded more REPUBLICAN that ANN, MIKE and John Kay did all together.

    ReplyDelete
  10. ANON at 11:02-- I thought Whit and John Kay said that Nerren was an OBAMA supporter-- Ann Pice also said that-- that sure does not sound like a man that supports OBAMA--- wow so you saw a real REPUBLICAN at the PEC meeting-- talk about a rare siting.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Since the PEC voted the way they did is WHIT going to renouce his endorsement since it was not fairly gotten and NERREN was not allowed a chance to defend himself against the false and malicious allegations of Whits campaign consultant?
Whit did not seek the endorsement so now that he knows how he got it he may want to do the right thing.

    ReplyDelete
  12. So you are telling me that the Graves supporters were not truthful in the way they secured the State Party Endorsement? Graves is a good man and would never have allowed that to happen. he would have refused it had be known how it was gotten.

  13. JIM, you should POST the letters that were sent to the State Party by the PEC just like you posted the Flyer for the WHIT Camp.

  14. I think the Louisiana Republican Party turned sour after the illegal flyer Darby sent out endorsing Obama and Nerren. It seems a group of the local PEC is in the pocket of Schuylar Marvin despite his history and current power grab tactics. When the local group can't get their act together some real Republicans had to step in.

    ReplyDelete
  15. ann price said she was teaching NERREN A LESSON!!!!! A fifty year old man, 29 year republican-- homegrown from Haughton-- needs to be taught a LESSON?

Maybe she should teach BOBBY JINDAL a lesson, because JINDAL has asked all republicans to seek out minority groups during campaigns.

She should just come out an say I AM SUPPORTING WHIT and even if I send the local party to the grave, my candidate will WIN.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Anon at 11:12--- No one turned sour over the flyer--- everyone knows Jindals asks republcians to reach out to other groups. No one on the PEC is in the POCKET of SCHYLER MARVIN-- you need to do some homework like I did last night--

    ReplyDelete
  17. The problem is these "minorities" perceive a ticket like Nerren/Darby put out as an implied endorsement of Obama by Nerren, regardless of whether that is the case. I don't understand why Nerren, if he chose to utilize someone like Julian Darby, wouldn't just simply have something distributed with just his name on it. I am sure Nerren will claim he did not authorize the flyer/ticket, but he should know that he should exercise more control over who he pays consulting fees. I believe he did know what Darby was doing, or should have known, but perhaps turned his back to give himself deniability. I found it hard to trust Nerren given the circumstances.

Probably Nerren is honest in most situations, but clearly when backed into a corner where he feels he has to go negative in a campaign, he is willing to compromise his values. This is what concerns me when he gets in these situations on the bench with some of the big donors on important cases, or on cases where a big donor is not involved but the da is pushing for something that he might not otherwise rule for the da if he feels pressure.

    ReplyDelete
  18. How will whit handle the situation when a lawyer is not truthful with him-- will he consider it no big deal?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Slattery and Graves pushed for minority votes as well, but did not distribute flyers contrary to their won political affilations. Nerren is the only candidate that took that path

    ReplyDelete
  20. Too bad nobody has audio or video of that meeting. Now THAT would be interesting to post. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  21. You nerren supports know no limits. Nerren paid for a flyer that supported Obama and you got called on it. The SCC does not need the approval of the hacks on the pec to call a spade a spade. If history serves me correct Mr. Thompson has supported many democrats in the past against republicans. This is important because he openly states he's such a conservative, and he owns the vote of Richard ray and the lapdog gatti.

  24. bulldogs don't back down and leave meetings

    ReplyDelete
  25. I've said it once and saying it again. The majority of endorsements given Nerren are by politicians wanting to either maintain their political status or build up their status. Not because Nerren is needed, but because of Marvin's power. As a result, conservative values are inferior to political status for these individuals. Their are exceptions in Kara and Duke Lowerie. True conservatives that do not put politics before beliefs. Go drive by Acadiana Mortgage. Where did the big Nerren sign go?

    ReplyDelete
  26. A12:02 ah, but there is my man, there is. A full and complete recording just waiting.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Nerren has been caught with his pants down on this one.

    1. The actual ballot Darby put out is against the ethical standards concerning campaigning literature according to State of Louisiana.

    2. Nerren paid Darby a consulting fee which resulted in the ballot being put out advising to vote for Obama and Nerren, contrary to the beliefs of his own party.

    3. Nerren, whether he "knew" about this flyer or not, should have taken reasonable actions/steps to insure the campaign flyer was legal and in line with the Republican party values. Nerren is solely responsible for this, there are no excuses are justifications otherwise.

    4. Nerren has ONLY attacked Graves after the primary. He has NO advertising that gives a reasonable explanation of why he would make a more competent, unbiased judge if elected. In other words, his entire campaign is run on smearing Graves. One would only do this if A) they were behind...which he wasn't B) He has no real credentials to run on...mostly true relative to graves

    5. His mail-out and tv spots call Graves a liar. Certainly Graves "misled" the court in not filing the memorandum when agreeing to do so. He was punished and admitted fault according to the Supreme Court. However, Nerren's campaign/advertising material is misleading, misrepresents the facts, and embellishes the truth.

  31. I'm sorry guys...this battle is pretty much lost. Graves is just too flawed of a candidate and Nerren and the good ole boys just have too much money and connections. However, the war still rages on....in 2014 Marvin will be up for reelection and I hear he has a another puppet judge he wants to put on the bench. Better start preparing now and finding a good candidate to get behind next time or all will be lost in this effort.

    ReplyDelete
  32. how is it being stolen? the endorsement from the state cannot be supported. Ann Price would not discuss it or support it, John Kay would not discuss it or support it.
No one from the state would support it in writing.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Ok so its ok for COllier, Ann and John Kay to steal an endorsment in secret, then ask for a secret vote, then insist that when they lose a vote it stay secret-- but it not ok to expose that secrecy and with an open vote. It is clear from the vote that ANN and MIKE planned a coup and it fell through--- just desserts. John Kay won't use this race on his resume.

Stolen by Marvin? seriously-- ya'll have been trying to prop up a run for this spot with false accusations on the internet and inquisitor-- fake/secret/not in writing endorsments from the republican party. Tearing down Nerren who handles juvenile cases at the DA's office. And ruining the party in the process. Anything for a win, even running videos of people that had to go through rehab to get a nol prosse-- thanks for digging up those memories-- no office is worth that.

Graves and his supporters were slinging MUD way back before this race even got started good! Graves and his under handed vindictive grew have been working on how many Lies can we tell about Nerren before DECEMBER 8TH and Just how many more familes and supporters can we hurt along the way. There is a patteren here for Graves and starting with the Supreme Cout issue. I have read it and Graves did in fact Lie to the supreme Court. Then Graves has Lied through out this Campaign to many in Webster and Bossier. Graves then puts all over the place of the Under handed Endorsement from the Louisiana Republican Party that is now being RECINDED due to more Lies by Graves and Collier. Then the Hollywood film making that Graves and supporters put out on you tube that they were so proud of that they were sure to share it with the world to make sure and hurt lots of people and get a hahaha to then Graves mail out of more Lies about Nerren to then a new commercial packed full of more lies to now another mail out that looked like someones 3yrs old cut and paste it for them to another commercial of Graves I am not the one slinging MUD!! Now thats funny right there I don't care who you are. I have seen one commercial and one mail out fron Nererns Campaign STRATING FACTS and it shows the information for the public to look it up for themself thats not a LIE it Facts!!! How hard is that for people to understand Stating Facts is not LYING, now Graves and his camp know only one thing and thats be as dirty as you can even if you have to make it up just do it before DECEMBER 8TH. I find it so crazy that Graves really puts out how many mail outs now and commercials?? I lost count bashing and lying about Nerren to now put out this one that Hes not Slinging mud!!! It has been one Lie after another from Graves and his camp and all Graves has to say ohh I knew nothing about that or I had nothing to do with that or I did not Lie someone else did. Graves for once be accountable for your own actions. I do not believe for one minute you knew nothing about the videos or the under handed deals you and Collier make to get votes or Endorsments. OHHH and to address another few lies Graves camp has put out. There has been not fight between Mr Cantrell and Nerren and Nerren's signs were all STOLEN in one night not removed by owners They have been calling looking for the signs that were STOLEN from their yards!!!! I find it funny some one posted people are taking down Nerren signs and thay all have been STOLEN. Just one more Lie in A LONG LINE Graves and his camp have put out. Graves has a patteren here to even attack Nerren's Wife,Son Sister and Family in his Dirty game of Politics. LIES will run together and I think Graves and his camp and his vindictive crew have done nothing to help Graves and his Campaign It has been way to Negative and Dirty and people already see the truth and true colors from Graves and his Camp. It is nothing but Mud Slinging and Dirty Politicis from the Graves camp and it started the day Graves announced he was running for District Judge!!!

    ReplyDelete

My thoughts and Prayers go out to them for I have never heard one bad word come from them about Graves or his supporters and they have all been put into the ugly mess. I know Nerren to be a man of Integrity, honest, and fair and will stand by what is right. He has helped many children and familes and is a good Man and a great family Christian man. He has my vote and it is because I know he will be a great District Judge and has not one Vindictive bone in his body to ever hurt supporters and familes or Graves family or children like has been done to him and his family. 86. Let us quickly review. Nerren threw the first negative punch right after the run off began. Graves responded with a letter from the Supreme Court. Nerren caught paying Darby to gain black votes. Graves informs the electorate of Nerren's indiscretion. Unknown third party exposes the District Attorney propensity for giving deals and then Nerren rewarded by contributions from same. Graves receives endorsement from LAGOP. Nerren complains and cry's foul . Inquisitor informs electorate that research confirms third party allegations. Nerren asks for exlempary treatment from local republican party and receives same. Nerren requests local state representative to lobby state republicans to change endorsement to himself. Graves continues to inform electorate about Nerren's bad behavior with Julian Darby. It is 8 days to doomsday.

  95. What is interesting about the video, with all the big dollar donors for Nerren as verified by the inquisitor, is not so much all the nol-prosse cases, but the FACT that none of the other donors have ANY cases. In other words, if our judicial system has not gone awry, then probability alone would suggest there would be at LEAST ONE felony where some family member was convicted and sentenced. Instead, there are 20+ counts that miraculously got a nol prosse greese job from the office of Mike Nerren/Schuylar Marvin office.

Since it is public record, I challenge any Nerren supporter to post an example to the contrary.

I would love to hear Nerren explain how that is possible---it's not.

Bossier/Webster Parish--You are seeing something take place right in front of your eyes, FACTS, that are undisputed and public record, of how big money works in the parish, the back room deals, the secret meetings. Shame on all of us if we cannot right this wrong immediately.

A lot of attorneys are in Nerren's corner. Who came blame them...if they go against marvin in this race with his self proclaimed endorsement of Mike Nerren, what happens to their cases? Less nol-prosse results? Less favorable deals for your clients? Everyone that has had any deals in the court knows this is what goes on. For all those attorneys, the ones that are honest, think about why you got into the business you are in. Please go to the grave knowing you didn't get bullied into a system that by its very nature, depends on separation of powers.

THE FACT THAT 90% OF ALL THE PEOPLE ON THIS BLOG POSTS ANONYMOUSLY PROVES WE ARE INTIMIDATED BY WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE DA'S OFFICE. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DEBATE THE LAST STATEMENT, ESPECIALLY ATTORNEYS, PLEASE POST YOUR RESPONSE IN YOUR NAME. GUARANTEED THE ONLY POSTERS WILL BE BIG SUPPORTERS OF NERREN. PROVE ME WRONG.

  106. I still pretty sure I know who did the video, if it does turn out to done by someone who is in or directed by Whit's camp-- and whit said he and his people had NOTHING to do with it-- what do you think the outcome will be?

    ReplyDelete
  107. IF I had to guess about the video I would say John Kay helped someone make it. he has been on this "ruin nerren because of his boss kick" since he got involved and then that was the theme collier put in place through the lies in the inquisitor the last year.
That also been the theme of every election that Kay has been involved in-- ruin the other person win at all costs. That attitude is sickening. In the future, we should all look to see you hires john kay and then support the other person.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Look if mike nerren was a mud slinger he would run an ad of a young guy joining the state troopers because he hates drunk drivers. The guy goes through training and learns all he can to stop drink drivers on the road.
His first case in court, the defendant is represented by WHIT who tears the Trooper a new one on the fact that paper work was wrong or breathilizer was not properly registered. Then the drunk is back on the road. Then graves tells the young trooper that he used to the a trooper and knows all the tricks to get someone off.
Nerren would run the names of all the people Whit got off who then got DWI's in the future
But NERREN won't do this because it is negative. Also its just not accurate, because all Lawyers take an oath to represent their clients to the fullest extent of the law guilty or innocent-- Nerren hasn't even sought the endorsment of MADD.
That is the difference in these candidates and their campaigns-- WHIT and Kay will print anything to win and NERREN has the judicial quality of restraint.

    ReplyDelete
  109. But nerren published Whits suspension!!! how is that not NEGATIVE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Lawyers are regulated by the state supreme court. Suspensions and sanctions against an attorney are public record. A suspension is a big thing, but a deferral is also important. This was crossing the line I think and should not have been printed, but it is not negative it is an objective fact in someones past dealing directly with what they did--you can read the case.
what's important is that nothing similar to that, a professional attack, has been lodged against Nerren-- only attaks against Nerren have been attenuated and personal. Nerren is 50 and surely if anyone had something pertinent about his professional life, it would have made a mailout by now.

    ReplyDelete
  111. The only bad thing Whit says about Nerren is that Whit doesn't like Nerren current boss-- I want everyone to think about every boss that you have had in your life-- how would you like to be judged by your boss. The courthouse employs hundreds of people, but they all have different opinions on this race.
What Collier, John Kay and Ann are really telling people is that "if you are going to run against my candidate in Bossier Parish, then I will find a way to discredit you, even if it means ruing you because I have a baseless vendetta against one of your former bosses."

    ReplyDelete
  112. how is it that John Kay can be on the state central committee for the republican party, seek an endorsment for Whit from the SCC, and be whit's campaing manager? Isnt the purpose of the SCC to raise money for the PARTY as a whole? are the resources of the party being diverted to local races? how is funding an endorsment in a two republican race even proper? Is the party now diverting limited funds in the state coffers to help the grave campaign against another republican?

    ReplyDelete
  113. I heard COllier called everyone after the meeting and wanted a recount!!!! he said the "chad's were hanging chads" or something-- he wanted a revote on the motion to ask the state central committee to withdraw whits endorsement-- wow this will never end!!!!! Collier ran the parish meeting then asked that no one tell anyone about the vote and wanted the letter to be secret. But also said the verbal endorsement from the state that can't be proven can be published.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Whit said he has not been negative after actually being negative-- that is a John Kay slight of hand campaign tactic to get the votes of emotional voters--Kay claims to have extensive experience in Louisiana Politics -- but I can't find a campaign where this tactic of personal attacks led to a victory for him.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Anon at 5:33-- but he gets paid either way-- he sells sizzle not steak.

    ReplyDelete
  116. I can't beleive the local party had to get involved in a race. It was only because Ann, Mike and john kay orchestrated, proxied and arm twisted that it happened. So glad the truth came out and justice was done.
Hopefully this will never happen again.....

    ReplyDelete
  117. I appreciate freedom of speech-- I hope Nerren wins so that freedom of speech is this parish is not further stifled.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Are the polls open today for early voting?

    ReplyDelete
  119. All republicans should vote early and for Nerren to show that we do not take kindly to negative campaigning-- we also should bring a friend. See you are the courthouse today-- vote early!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  120. all democrats should vote early for Nerren because he is the only one that reached out for our vote. We need a judge that will preside fairly over all people. VOTE NERREN

    ReplyDelete
  121. Seriously-- Republicans CAN"T vote for nerren-- havent you seen the pictures with OBAMA in the mailouts-- Nerren helped pass obama care-- whit is going to lower taxes and enhance mosquito abatement and complete the swanlake extension, .......

    ReplyDelete
  122. Nope-- Ive seen nerren coach baseball for years (many to championships), practice law with integrity, treat his family with respect, volunteer in the community, work hard in his private businesses and serve in the juvenile courts in bossier-- he will be a great judge,
If he loses over the negative lies told in a campaign-- it will change campaigning in Bossier for generations. Every race will be negative and the consultants will make hundreds of thousands manufacturing and selling untrue negativity to a public that does not want to hear it.

    ReplyDelete
  123. anon at 5:55-- and desparate candidates will continue to hire them.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Jim, I heard that evacuations started today in doyline-- are they seriously going to move millions of pounds of explosives today? should we be getting out of town?

    ReplyDelete
  125. The State Party Endorsement has not been pulled and will not be pulled. If that were the case Jeff Thompson would have already been back with that from his bullying tour.
Just because you were able to intimidate Mcconell on the peck to vote with you doesnt mean you have enough hot air to make it work on anyone else. All the hot air in the world wont change the FACT NERREN PAYED FOR AN OBAMA AD. Say what you want on here to decieve but Nerren admitted it on tape in the PEC meeting, perhaps that can be placed on Youtube. Oh and John Kay is a worm he supports the Cowboys for goodness sake!

    ReplyDelete
  126. Looks like the little lawyer from the PEC started posting non-stop about 4:45 am finally ran out of gas about 6:00. Must be lonely posting back and forth to yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  127. You mean the one who hopes to be the next judge candidate? Maybye he can get Kay to run it for him.

    ReplyDelete
  128. what does that have to do with Wit endorsement being withdrawn? can we keep with the topic????

    ReplyDelete
  129. still no answer to this:

    ReplyDelete
  130. A8:05 it is possible that the state GOP could withdraw an endorsement but not likely. They would first have to admit that the evidence (Obama ballot) was not factual or didn't rise to sufficient level. Secondly, they will have misled Graves and thousands of dollars of materials would be invalidated. They may then incur liability. Thirdly, voters have already voted and some votes were based upon that endorsement. LAGOP would then be liable for misleading voters. I think they let sleeping dogs lie.

    ReplyDelete
  131. People don't forget the endorsement came about because Mike Nerren shamed himself and embarrassed the republican party. You cannot proclaim to be a Republican and then get get in bed with democrats and expect no retribution. He paid Darby to go buy him votes. What is hard to understand?

    ReplyDelete
  132. 834-- I know. I hoped they would act valiantly, but after talking to the state party and seeing the vindictiveness of Ann Price (the chairwoman of the state party) and John Kay (State Central Committee Member and Whit campaign Manager) there is no honor and misleading is the only way they can win.

    ReplyDelete
  133. exactly anon 839...ballots that were actually ILLEGAL, that Nerren paid for but later claimed he never saw or approved, when he has a responsibility to know about and control these consultants like darby. He should have known about them if he didn't, but his excuse does not hold water as he is solely responsible for actions taken for someone he paid to canvass minority neighborhoods. He gave himself "deniability"---how convenient.

Again, Nerren may be a generally honest man, but when push comes to shove, as it certainly will if elected judge, what happens to his big donor cases? What happens when the DA pushes him on something that he might not otherwise handle differently by the law? These are questions he has answered with the Darby situation in my opinion. The PROOF is crystal clear where Nerren's self-imposed obligations rest.

    ReplyDelete
  134. NO ONE BELIEVES MIKE NERREN SUPPORTED OBAMA !! that is a lie!!!! nerren was endorsed by a democrat group--- not even whit can say with a straight face mike supports obama-- he even said at the meeting -- mike should have done like me and just printed the ballots himself with only his name on them-- so whit is not mad that mike put out flyers, he's made the flyers were not the same format as his.

He is really mad that no one in the democrat party was willing to endorse him.

How does a person win a race when all the candidates are republican-- romney tought us and jindal orders us to REACH OUT to the other party--
Ann price said she was teaching MIKE a LESSON about reaching out to democrats-- John Kay said he was not at privilege to discuss how the endorsement was really a lesson for MIKE NERREN.

    ReplyDelete
  135. So the candidates should know and approve of campaign material-- how did whit repsond to the video on youtube that pick 20 out of tens of thousands of cases that do through bossier parish-- he arbitrarily picked 20 cases--- did not call the families for comment, did not read the files, did not talk to the procesutors, did not ask the clerks, simply picked 20 files. and published the video through a campaign committee. Then stated he KNEW MORE than was in the video-- so he denies any attachment to the video-- payment, authorization, any of his campaign workers or contributors authorizing it, then says he actually knows MORE.

NO ONE ELSE would have funded a video like that, no one produces a video like that without getting paid.

Try to get one of the three local video producers to do one of those for free- whoever made that should have registered as a PAC. but they did not---

    ReplyDelete
  136. I think most people gave money to mike, because he is more likable than whit.
and because, as the campaign had proven, he doesn't fall for and run with ideas that have no merit- like whit did with the endorsment mike got on the flyer in minden

    ReplyDelete
  137. A8:55 nobody doubts you hope Mike Nerren wins and that you think highly of him. That is admirable of you. However, Nerren paid Julian Darby to go buy him votes. That upset the state party. They could have reprimanded him which would have been worse. Just be happy he didn't get worse.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Your right, Whit fell for that and no telling how much money john kay has made producing all those mail outs and youtube videos with his buds-- negative politics don't work in bossier John Kay-- you may have to give the Whit campaign a refund.

    ReplyDelete
  139. So has the state party withdrawn the endorsement yet? since is was gotten in back channels and secret meetings. I am glad the PEC called them on the carpet and asked for a withdrawl or co- endorsement.

Looks like the pec heard both sides and a majority agreed that Mike Nerren is a republican worthy of the protection of the local party when it comes to shady politics and half truths--
that might be the only bright spot in this election.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Nerren supporters should be outraged that the video clearly provides evidence of corruption within the office of the District Attorney. But no, they only care that it might cause difficulty getting Nerren elected. Nerren people complain everyday about the corruption in the Obama camp. Nerren people say it is just fine in Bossier. Go figure.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Just be happy it didn't get worse for your side. That is a lie that NERREN paid for votes--- it is a lie-- yon cannot prove that NERREN paid people to vote for him--- that is a lie-- vote buying happens as a quid pro quo- I go with you to the voting both, watch you pull the lever and PAY you.
THAT DID NOT HAPPEN --- NERREN was endorsed because he is the best candidate-- they put his name on a flyer because they LIKE him, Endorse him and TRUST him to be a fair judge---

The real issue is -- how come whit cannot get anyone to endorse him EXCEPT John Kays state central Republican State party group of guys---

    ReplyDelete
  142. if WHIT is paying John Kay to work for HIM-- THEN WHIT PAID FOR THE ENDORSEMENT OF THE STATE PARTY!!!!
John Kay used his influence as a member of that group to get that endorsement and lied to the committee about the flyer calling it a contribution to OBAMA-- wow MORE lies......

    ReplyDelete
  143. So tell me anon at 9 and 849 is Darby registered as a PAC?
You dont deny that Mike admitted on tape paying him for the POLITCAL PUSHCARD which endorsed OBAMA.
Tell me why OBAMA doesnt have a expenditure listed on his fec filling paying DARBY as well.
Lawyers as valiant and honorable as you should have no problem answering those questions if you talked to the state party.
    Oh nice try Jeff.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I bet that's why WHIT hired him as a consultant, I bet he promised to get him the State Committee endorsement.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Its a FLYER-- have you heard of freedom of speech????? I know you have , because its what allows you to bismirch the name of a 29 year republican with half truths with worrying about being truthful

    ReplyDelete
  146. I don't think anyone actually wrote a "letter" to the state party. This is probly a lie too.

I bet the state party doesn not even know whats going on. thats why the meeting was secret.

    ReplyDelete
  147. So, whit is now allowing John Kay to bash Edminston? Edminston was the first parish wide elected republican in bossier parish since RECONSTRUCTION, I don't mean the rebulding of the courthouse either. I mean post civil war reconstruction--- again negative attacks on true republicans and a veteran-- I guess anything to win is the only way they know.

John Kay should read the bios of the PEC members like their constituents did before he bashes them anymore--- you are only making those guys work harder against your client.

    ReplyDelete
  148. A letter was written to the state party. The DA told Jeff Thompson to drive to Baton Rouge immediately and get endorsement withdrawn. Thompson so far has failed and Marvin is not happy.

    ReplyDelete
  149. 9:26 - What did John Kay say about Bobby Edmiston? I missed that.

    ReplyDelete
  150. ANON at 916-- this is a judge's race-- not watergate-- your passions should equal the size of the race.
People know mikes an honest man, because we have known him for a long time---
honesty is in his character-- We can't say that about the people running Whit's campaign-- they are unknowns and after Mr. Kay is done with the Hurricane of lies he is spewing, we are the one's left to clean up the mess-- I doubt Mr. Kay will ever come to another pec meeting once the election is over. He is only on the State Central Committee to promote his business--Capitol Strategies of Louisiana--

    ReplyDelete
  151. I thought John Kay was waiting outside the PEC meeting for a copy of the recording so that he could transcibe.
If john is running whit's campaign, he's the one overseeing all the tactics.

    ReplyDelete
  152. So what did John Kay say about Bobby Edmiston?

    ReplyDelete
  153. Yeah Kay caused Nerren to launch dispicable campaign against Graves centered around the word lier. Kay caused Nerren to pay Darby to pay for votes. Yeah, Kay did it all!

    ReplyDelete
  154. its evident that the bossier pec did not see the flyer the same way John Kay did. That is why he did not ask there permission before taking it to the state party for endorsement-- shenanigans.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Anonymous at 9:26, you said John Kay was bashing Edmiston. For the third time, what did he say about Edmiston or are you just making that up (lying)?

    ReplyDelete
  156. Did it ever occur to y'all that Graves (or is Kay the candidate?) talked about the ballot because Nerren was running behind and decided to attack first?

    ReplyDelete
  157. Sounds like the good ole boys (Thompson, Marvin, Nerren) don't like John Kay because he isn't afraid to do to them what they have done to others for years- play hardball.

    ReplyDelete
  158. During the primary no nasty materials were used because Slattery was in the race. Immediately after the run off began Nerren launched his attack. No way Nerren thought he was behind unless he thought the whole Slattery army was going to support Graves. Graves' response to Nerren's attack was the Supreme Court letter. It took awhile before Congressman Flemming produced the Darby flyer to Graves camp. BTW why did Nerren support libertarian against our congressman?

    ReplyDelete
  159. After about 600 or 700 comments on 4 or 5 articles, I've come to the conclusion that Whit lied about an incident and Nerren has a sample ballot with his and Obama's name on it. Is that about the jist of it?

    ReplyDelete
  160. A1024 you are correct. The thing is Nerren bashing Whit about a miscommunication over a decade ago and Whit bashing Nerren about a ballot.

    ReplyDelete
  161. I heard that Troy Landry from Swamp People and Willie Robertson from Duck Dynasty will endorse Whit on Monday.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Anonymous at 9:26, you said John Kay was bashing Edmiston. For the fourth time, what did he say about Edmiston or are you just making that up (lying)?

    ReplyDelete
  163. A1044 that was a Nerren supporter lying and blaming Kay for breathing.

    ReplyDelete
  164. John Kay worked on Fleming's campaign too. Now the endorsement from the state makes complete sense. Kay speaks for all of them!!!

    ReplyDelete
  165. HahHahahahaha y'all are treating John Kay like the media treats conservatives.

    ReplyDelete
  166. This John Kay must be a very powerful man. Who is John Kay? Who is John Galt? What am I doing here?

    ReplyDelete
  167. Nope John Kay ordered the video. Wish he would just come out and admit it. Does he know who brought the flyer to the videographers office?

    ReplyDelete
  168. Just saying, John Kay helped Fleming against Carmouche (Marvin backed). Helped Duke Lowrie against Thompson. Helped DePingre against Reynolds (Marvin endorsed). Helped Peacock against Smith. Helping Graves against Nerren ( Marvin backed). I am sure there are others but the guy looks like a freedom fighter of some sort. Anybody that consistently stands up to Marvin and his stooges gotta be vigilante.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Wait, you know that John Kay ordered the video but the campaign still ways to know who made it? Maybe y'all should talk.

    ReplyDelete
  170. What difference does it make who ordered it, or made it or who paid for it?

    ReplyDelete
  171. It is really simple. Nerren if elected owes a duty to Schuylar Marvin, for if it were not for him...(his apparent campaign manager) Nerren would not be in the hunt. Now we have all the high dollar donors with nol-prosse cases that have been greased by the DA's office, and high dollar donors standing by for their turn.

Nerren/Marvin have raised 3x the money from these fat cats to produce MASS amounts of misleading commercials and it's still a close race by all accounts.

I have never heard such bickering about a campaign manager. That tells me since getting exposed is so threatening that his strategy is working, like it or not, otherwise you wouldn't care to mention his name.

Most of the posters on here are from disgruntled PAC members that obviously need to be replaced or quit like Gatti, effective immediately. Any of you who will stand by and let a Republican produce an obama ticket, or best case scenario hire a consultant to do so without having some control over what he is doing, need to go. Nerren claims he knew nothing about the flyer...REALLY??? Then what did he pay $2,000 for? If you paid $2,000 bucks and you were a candidate would you want to see what you were paying for??? OFCOURSE...WHICH IS WHY THIS IS NONSENSE AND INSULTS OUR INTELLIGENCE.

    ReplyDelete
  172. I agree with 4:14. Nerren ran third in a three horse race in 2002. He also didn't raise much money. Now that Nerren is D.A. Backed he has raised over 200k according to the latest nov 29 report. Slattery raised 51k and Graves about 80k. With all that money, influence and political maneuvering he still may lose. His political mistakes will be the only blame. It will not be John Kay and his dirty tricks that take down Marvin, it will be stupid mistakes.

    ReplyDelete
  173. @ Karl Rove - even Bobby Bouche's mama thinks John Kay is the DEVIL!!

See for yourself -> John Kay is the Devil!!

    /rolling my eyes

    ReplyDelete
  174. Ok so who brought the flyer to the videographer? Whit says he does not know this person-- said this on the record at the PEC meeting. So if it turns out that Whit did know the person that brought the flyer to the maker of the Video--what does that mean?

    ReplyDelete
  175. Man, do you really think Whit would have known about that that video that hurt the feelings of so many family members? You don't know whit.

    ReplyDelete
  176. I don't care who did what to whom. I do care about corruption. Does anybody understand what that video exposed? Where in the dickens is the FBI and the RICO statute? Come on people, get it out of your tail and help stop this corruption!

    ReplyDelete
  177. Whit said he an his family, and his campaign did not have anything to do with that video! you are barking up the wrong tree-- that is a home made video from an anonymous source that is not a professional who usually receives a fee and was not helped or given information by anyone in his campaign. Get a life please!!!!!
