Hurricane Chris: Barbara Norton says Louisiana has 'always been a joke'

Rep. Barbara Norton of Shreveport, who introduced Hurricane Chris to the Louisiana Legislature to perform his now infamous rap song 'Halle Berry', says that the performance did not cause Louisiana to be a joke.
"Louisiana has always been a joke", says Rep. Norton in this interview.
Rep. Patrick Williams of Shreveport disagrees, saying that there is a time and place for everything, and this wasn't the time or the place.

  1. Barbara Norton is a joke. If she thinks this rapper is a good role model, she is badly mistaken. This was an embarrassment for the whole state.

  2. Even the hip hop websites are making fun of this and calling it embarassing.

  3. Louisiana has always been a joke, and that's because we elect morons who don't realize their actions are the reason for the joke.

By saying it's always been a joke, so this is white noise, is she saying that the performance was a joke too?

  4. What is with this woman??? Does she not have any respect for herself, women in general, or her state??? What would possess her to "invite" this "singer" to stand on the state capital podium and "sing" to our paid politician's and disgrace our state??? It is this kind of behavior which gives our great state the poor reputation that it has. She is an embarrasement to herself and to her city.

  10. Nothing in the Inquisitor. Chris Dooley Jr has had no charges in either Bossier or Caddo Parish. If there is any truth to this, someone needs to cough up some info.

  11. Both of these people are trash... She is a embarrassment to this state and a horrible representation as to what we need for the Shreveport/Bossier area and Louisiana. Im unsure why she is still in her position. For one when your a representative for a state and you call that state a joke that its self shows a problem.... This woman also has problems with following orders and laws, apparently she thinks that she can do what she wants...but as long as we keep letting her I guess she can continue to reflect her ignorance off onto all of Louisiana as she remains our State Representative Barbara Norton. trash.
