Gaming Board member Jerry Juneau resigns over involvement with Lynn Austin fundraiser

KTBS reported tonight that Jerry Juneau has resigned his position as a member of the State Gaming Board.
The resignation is related to a fundraiser that was held for Lynn Austin, candidate for Bossier City Marshal. The Northwest Louisiana Tea Party Alliance published a story on their website about the event, including a copy of an invitation from the Austin campaign.
The fundraiser was held in February at Juneau’s place of business, City Tele-Coin. The invitation from the Austin campaign showed the location of the event to be "City Tele-Coin – Jerry Juneau".
Members of the Gaming Board are forbidden to engage in any political campaign in any way, or even to attempt to influence votes for any candidate.
Juneau told Channel 3 that he did not attend the fundraiser.

  1. And then a Lynn Austin campaign commercial came on. Might want to hold off those commercials until this dies down a little.

  2. Keep running those commercials - so everyone can say -

who is this guy? that's not the guy on the billboard and push card

  3. Like that movie Jerry McGuire

    OHHHHHHH..... JERRRRRRYYYYYYY

  4. The real story is the elected people that were at a party that was in violation of the ethics rules in Louisiana.

what a joke - most of them knew Jerry was on the Gaming Board. -

But in Bossier - the Good Ole Boys don't have to follow the rules

  6. Lynn Austin is doing more to expose the good old boy system than all of the Tea Parties put together. He doesn't mean to of course, but that's what is happening.

  7. If I was an officeholder and saw Lynn Austin coming toward me I would run.

  8. I think the line from the movie Jerry McGuire that fits this situation better is "Show me the money".

Does anyone else smell Liberal Democrats. I mean look at what our city government has done since Lo Walker took over. $100 million dollar building, a parking garage, CNG gas stations no one wanted. And when it all went bad the first thing they did was cut public safety and raised taxes. They expect you and I to follow the rules but somehow the rules don't apply to them. I was thinking it but when I heard Lynn Austin got a big campaign contribution from the Teamsters I knew I was right. Remember the Teamsters were big supporters of Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Polosi.

Also provides the chemical/cleaning supplies. Give us a break this is just another example of the gool ole boy system. Thanks Lynn for exsposing this.

  11. The good ole boys underestimated the Power of Technology and the transparency of any Candidate vying for any position. Years ago they could have pulled this off without a hitch and the innocent citizens would be none the wiser! He Should have stayed the two years needed for yet another retirement from the City under the protection of the Mayors Office!

  12. its tough to make much of a ripple in the pond if all you have is this blog and a couple of news stories - better get to mailing, tv and radio - the election is fast approaching - unless Austin dies or Richard or Wyatt raise some money and some support - this goes down on the first ballot - still predict Austin with 55%

    ReplyDelete
  13. I still question whether renting a room constitutes a violation.

    ReplyDelete
  14. The tea party's website has pictures of signs being "stored" at Juneau's business. Things are loooking more and more fishy from Austin's camp.

    ReplyDelete
  15. This is a strech. Juneau is a good man and a hard worker. He lets anyone use his building. He supports many good things. Being on any board is a thankless job and its looks like only those that have nothing, including gumption and business sense, will be able to serve on these boards. How can you live in a community for over sixty years, raise three kids, several successful business and still be vilified by the community. These attenuated attacks on Austin have caused me to vote for him. If you really look at the record of service, then the other two do not compare. Juneau needs an apology because whoever printed this does not know him.

  16. Call Channel 3 if you have a complaint, they aired it last night at 10.

  17. Blame the messengers, by all means. Don't ever blame the ethically challenged officials who are being reported on - for their unethical behavior.

    ReplyDelete
  18. This is ridiculous. I am sure Mr Juneau could really care less about being on the Gaming Board at this point. He runs a very lucrative business where he works night and day. Someone is just jealous because Lynn Austin raised alot of money at the fundraiser. Sam and Carl could not raise that much $$$ together, What a joke!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. You are right it cant be bought. So Carl Richard is in big trouble

    ReplyDelete
  22. This makes so much sense. Jerry Juneau was in violation of the ethics laws forbidding him from participating in any campaign. Lynn Austin (Mr. Email) was the recipient.
So logically, let's blame Carl Wayne and Sammy.

And I have plenty of money - and plenty of class - to go to a party at the short man's metal building

Sorry Lynn - you lost my support with that invite and backing -

The email fiasco and this gaming board fiasco just reaffirms my opinion to sit this one out.

  27. Gosh that eveil evil man Lynn Austin is using old pictures AND old email accounts. And if that was not enough he had a fundraiser by his friend of 50 years, Jerry Juneau. How can he look at himself in the mirror. PUHLEEZE is is the worst they can find on the man??? He for sure has my vote.

Puleeze - that is sad -

    ReplyDelete
  30. In my opinion Lynn's not evil - just makes poor choices

Kinda like choosing to keep the baby when you really should abort it

I'm pro life - but would abort this frienship

    ReplyDelete
  31. Please, Lynn is not innocent in this at all. He was totally complicit with any and all ethics violations, I'm sure. Blame Juneau all you want, however; the final decisions are/were up to Mr. Austin. Remember, Austin is running, not Juneau - and in my opinion, his punishment has been (resignation) has been given.

    ReplyDelete
  32. What about David Shelton of the Bossier City Police making a $2500 donation to the Sammy Wyatt fund and clearly in a picture with Wyatt at his fund raiser? Is that going to make a new blog on your page, I guess you can call it the new ole boy system

    ReplyDelete
  33. They have been friends for over 50 years. Who cares if he used his building. Why doesn't anyone check into Carl Richards finances and personal dealings. It is sad that people are attacking a man who has dedicated so much of his life to the city of Bossier. Shame on all of you.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Jerry Juneau is a good family man. He works day and night running his business. His building is used for parties all of the time. Who cares if Lynn Austin used his building. They have been friends for over 50 years. People should investigate Carl Richard and Sammy Wyatt.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anons @ 8:56 & 9:00:

We care because it was illegal in terms of his service on a state board. This just goes to show you what kind of respect for the law these men have. Any bad deeds done by Sammy or Mr. Richard will be gladly reported as well - find them.

    ReplyDelete
  36. You are wrong! IT was not ILLEGAL!! It was against the rules of the Gaming Board and now he resigned. I hope he gives him another fundraiser so I can go and buy a whole table next time. Haters go campaign for Sammy and Carl, they need it way more than Lynn Austin! Bloop Bloop!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Anon at 9:18

You are falling for a red herring. Smoke in mirrors. This political tactic of attacking people who dedicate their lives to public service always backfires.

Juneau is a good man. Austin is a good man. Sammy and Carl did not have to attack him. They don't have a statistical chance at winning so they are attacking good people.

If a life long friend rents a building to a friend, then thats not unethical. The ethics laws were not meant to break up life long friendships. IF the laws were geared twowards breaking up friendships, then no one with friends would serve.

If you are so worried about ethics violations, then please find something better than having a party for a friend. We just lost a good manager from the gaming board because Sammy and Carl are desparately pulling out all the stops.

    ReplyDelete
  38. So I guess your saying that's its fine for Officer Shelton to make donations to Sammy Wyatt and also be apart of his fund raiser? How is that overlooked and ok? Please due tell

    ReplyDelete
  39. ive got a great idea lets do away with all these ethics laws and some others we dont like and then when people we like violate them it will be okay. then all of you good old boys can be happier and do it the way you want. in 2010 rules and laws are for everyone not just the poor. sorry!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Awesome. Now it is 2011!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I don't think it was an idea to break ethics rule by Mr Juneay. If so he would not have put his NAME ON THE INVITATION!!! He could have put his wifes name on it or his sons if he was trying to be shady and break rules. He made a mistake plain and simple. Has nothing to do with "Good Ole Boys" or being rich or poor. Get a life already. Go try to find a real scandal!

    ReplyDelete
  42. David Shelto is a reserve officer and not bound by civil service rules. He's a local businessman, like Jerry Juneau, and free to contribute to any campaign of his choice. Sorry, no gotcha there,

    ReplyDelete
  43. So, let me get this straight. It is against the law and/or a ethic violation to rent a place for a life long friend to have a party. But, it is not against the law and/or an ethic violation for an officer to donate money to Wyatt's campaign. Also, wasn't it Carl Richard who was arrested last year in Shreveport while he was working in the Shreveport Marshall's Office. So, lets tar and feather to men that have been friends for 50 years.

    ReplyDelete
  44. So your telling me since shelton wears a bossier city police uniform and works more than 100 hours a week and tells everyone he is a police officer he is not bound by anything. If he is just a business owner like jerry why is everyone making a big deal about jerry. Its not like he wears a uniform and tells everyone he is a officer even if its just a rent a cop. I guess the big picture here is that its ok for wyatt to do it but not austin. Wow that's really kinda stupid to put austin out there and not wyatt, but then again I guess everyone looks it since this is sammys normal thing trying to fill any opening he can get

    ReplyDelete
  45. Sounds like Shelton need to step down as a officer as well.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Shelton is not nor ever has been on any appointed board that requires no political endorsements . He is merely a citizen of this city who gives enormous amounts of his time and dedication to making this city a better and safer place to live. He could have masked his donation through another party, but did not . Those that have nothing to hide, hide nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  47. an officer is not an elected official and has no actual ethics violation abilities. Elected official or those seeking to be elected are bound by the state ethics board. While it may not be wise for an officer to formally endorse someone it is not illegal. Sheriffs formally announce that they support whoever all the time. It may be against department policy or possibly a civil service violation but if he's not a full time employee drawing a check and state supplemental pay then he isn't bound by that. As far a Juneau goes, he was serving for free and made a mistake. It was however an ethics violation.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Just to get this right since david is a employee but works for free he is not bound by the city code of conduct and is free to go against what paied officers have to do? And the rules set in the sop by the police departemnt have no affect on him what so ever, ok he is a employee but does not have to follow rules? So I guess he can shoot someone and it would be ok. Wow I need to be a unpaied employee for Bossier City. Hell in that case why even run for anything be a free employee and you don't have to follow any laws that sounds better

    ReplyDelete
  49. This nit picking has got to stop. This is ridiculous.

The ethics rules are not gotcha rules. Ethics is based on making a good choice. We have habitual violators of ethics that don't get punished and we have acute violators that are crucified. When are we going to learn that ethics rules are not drafted to catch bad guys, they are drafted to catch people trying to do whats right.

I challenge anyone to give a finding by the ethics board that does not sound like they were hall monitors with tasers. (overkill)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Shelton gives his service to the citizens of this city for no monetary compensation whatsoever. His only motivation is to make this a safer city for us all to live in. For anyone to attack his legal right to endorse the candidate of his choice is a violation of the fundamentals principle on which this country was founded. He'll, if that were the case, then all of our founding fathers were criminals. They all gave of their time, skill, money, and every resource to promote the idea of freedom. Shelton should be thanked, not condemned.

    ReplyDelete
  51. bottom line ,the good ole boy network is falling fast and you better separate your self if you are in an elected office and live off tax payers and have been for years city council your nx then the mayor, its funny how they are all connected ...thanks lynn for showing the tax payers who they are,and thanks for mahing it clear ....

    ReplyDelete
  52. fyi to make this discussion more factual--civil service employees in all professions cannot be involved in political activities by law.auxillory people are not civil service. gaming board folks have to attend mandatory ethics classes put on by the state police so that they understand the dos and donts. if you dont want to go by them then one turns down the opportunity.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Gosh I have heard so much about the "Good Ole Boys" I have lived in Bossier a very long time. Who are they? Names? Watch out "Good Ole Boys!!!! LOLOLOL!!

    ReplyDelete
  54. You want names? Some of the good ole boys are: the leader is Jimmy Hall, some of his followers are David Jones, David Montgomery, Bubba Williams, Lynn Austin, and Schylur Marvin. Hall is the leader of the group but he is in an appointed position. So to get rid of him, you have to get rid of the others. They will not go quietly. They have alot of money and alot of influence. If we want change, then we have to get to the polls on election day

    ReplyDelete
  55. just look at the list of people that gave money oh its in black and white next time get better advice from someone other than the city att. thanks jimmy and lynn your arrougance will be your downfall...

Thank you to the "Good Ole Boys" for helping Bossier to be what it is today!! Sure has heck don't want to cross the river where there are not any "Good Ole Boys"

    ReplyDelete
  58. Yes, thank you good ole boys. We are in debt, we have less police officers and firemen to protect us, they built a $100 million dollar building before a decision was made as to what city was going to get cyber command, we have more section 8 housing in Bossier than ever before, you've turned a once proud community into a corrupted laughing stock of a city. Yes, thank you, thank you , thank you. Keep up the great work.

    ReplyDelete
  59. This has to be one of the goofiest things I've read in this blog. Jerry Juneau screwed up, Lynn Austin screwd up, again, and some how some way it's all David Shelton's fault. The next time I see David I shall scold him. Shame on you David!

    ReplyDelete
  60. The good ole' boys seem to be the people that are on the side you happen to be opposing at the moment.

"Jimmy Hall, some of his followers are David Jones, David Montgomery, Bubba Williams, Lynn Austin, and Schylur Marvin"
That's a pretty broad brushstroke. Where's Larry Deen?

I don't know David Shelton or who he contributed to, but if he is an auxiliary officer, as one commenter said, he is not bound by Civil Service rules. He can do what he wants.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Where is Larry Dean? In a world of his own. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  62. I'm so confused. I just saw a Lynn Austin commercial. The guy in the commercial was not the guy whose picture is on his billboards. Which one is the real Lynn Austin?

    ReplyDelete
  63. I think Carl and Sammy should do a commercial together asking which is the real Austin. Of course they can't because they could not scrape up the money to run a commercial--So hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Or it could be that Carl or Sammy wouldn't scrape that low! It seems that the only mudslinging has come from the Austin camp.

    ReplyDelete
  65. @ 7:08. What mud has been slung from Austin? Now that is a good one

    ReplyDelete
  66. Seems like I got a mail out claiming Sammy was claiming to be related to Johnny Wyatt. How short some memories are.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Who said Carl and Sam won't be running any TV and radio?

    ReplyDelete
  68. I dont care what Lynn Austin looks like. I dont believe we are voting on a beauty pagent. What does concern me is the fact that Lynn Austin has been caught not once but twice now breaking the rules. He must really want to be City Marshal bad. So bad he is willing to cheat to get it. Say what you want but Lynn is scared of Sam Wyatt chances. I really believe its going to be close. GOOD LUCK SAM.

    ReplyDelete
  69. If you want to know who's red truck that really is come to the Marlena Street address and I will show you.Come on people, get your facts straight before making judgement.Someone made a mistake and it is costing Jerry Juneau alot of embarrassment. He has resigned and that should be the end of it. Jerry has a "lucrative" business as you call it because he works hard for it 7 days a week. There are no 8 hour days for him, it's more like 14 hours per day.

    ReplyDelete
  70. No one is questioning Jerry Juneau's work ethics, they are just questioning his disregard to the ethics he swore to abide by when he took on the position with the State Gaming Board.

What's more, (I'm sorry Jim) the good old boys of Bossier have for a long time enjoyed people turning the other way when something fishy occurred. It is apparent that people are no longer willing to do so. This, I believe comes from the screwing the people of Bossier received from fiascos like the Cyber Innovation Center, the Boardwalk parking garage. Now Bossier is broke from these fiascos, and the people of Bossier are paying for them through higher water bills and the loss of public safety, and the people are no longer willing to turn the other way.

    ReplyDelete

That's a question you need to ask the city council and the mayor. They're the one who constantly say the city is broke. If New York bankers raised the city's bond rating, sounds as if the city council and the mayor have been lying to the citizens of Bossier City.

  79. For the sake of transparency and insight into procedure at NWLATPA "The Alliance", allow me to interject.

The Alliance is made up of volunteers who have normal full-time every day jobs, just like you. Our time and resources are limited, so we can only report what we know. If we read campaign finance reports and only point out some people and not others, it is because we simply do not know everything about everyone.

The evidence posted on our website was provided by an unnamed individual who did his job as a responsible citizen and provided us with the information about Juneau and Austin. I guaran-damn-tee you if someone presented us with hard evidence showing similar violations of Sammy or Carl, we would be just as critical.

The Alliance is not a political campaign machine. We seek greater transparency and accountability from our elected officials and government bodies.

The first mistake made by Lynn Austin was to not even return phone calls or emails requesting an interview with the Tea Party. Such a refusal begs the question, "what are you hiding?"

I can't believe that some idiot is blaming Wyatt for this. Looks like Austin is afraid of him, Wyatt is gonna win this one. The Juneau dilemma is just another nail is the Austin campaigns coffin.

The first mistake made by Lynn Austin was to not even return phone calls or emails requesting an interview with the Tea Party. Such a refusal begs the question, "what are you hiding?"

@ Matt Sciba - I call BS on you... Your first comment is a blatant lie and you're yet to apply any links or pictures to prove that Jerry attended that fund raiser. Prove = Proof = HARD EVIDENCE. I'm getting tired of calling you out to ask for these things. Did I mention that hard evidence means proof? Facts? A fact would be that you haven't given any proof that Juneau violated any ethics. Are you with me still? Try to keep up... I've read comments from posters that lead me to believe that they're no older than 15 and drunk when they post. But that's not a fact because I haven't got proof. However, I'll go snap a picture of a truck and a Sammy Wyatt sign and I'll use the picture to relate their age to their immature posts and then I will apply your logic and say that I have "hard evidence" that they are young with undeveloped minds because of the truck and Sammy Wyatt signs and broke the law because they were underage, drinking and driving, and deserve a ticket... Still with me? Ok.

Next, I'll take another picture of a truck at the bar, and I will use it to say that they are Wyatt supporters and have driven illegally and gotten past Richard, the bouncer, at that bar. Then I will stoop as low as I can and create a site called "Northwest Bossier Pea Tarty" and I will use it to blast them with my "hard evidence" that I really don't have. Then and only then will I feel as though I can tolerate your nonsense and the cockeye ridiculi losers who have brought forth their ignorance on this blog without knowing the TRUE hard evidence, aka FACTS, of this story... You know what, I might even shed a tear like you've done if they refuse to return my calls or emails even though they know my website and unstructured organization is totally bogus. Have a GREAT day...

    Sincerely,

  109. As an organization, NWLATPA has no binding legal power or authority over any elected official. We do not have the power to fire anyone, or recall a politician. Jerry Juneau resigned his position without so much as a defense.

If Juneau is innocent of any wrongdoing, then why did he resign his position without an investigation by the Ethics Administration?

    ReplyDelete
  110. Why don't you grow a pair and see if you can contact him before you make ridiculous claims? Hell, contact the Gaming Board... Face it Matt, you chose the wrong citizen to candy coat a story about... Notice in some of the posts how he is at his business 7 days a week and more than 8 hours a day, that alone should tell you how much spare time he really has...

    ReplyDelete
  111. I heard he resigned because it was an extra job and work without pay for him. It cost him money to be on the gaming board- travel costs and time away from his business and family. He did not have anything to gain from being on the board.
He resigned because this lame story was like a pimple on his a$$. Now, he can support whomever he chooses. Also, remember no laws were broken by JerryJuneau-(like the ignorant NWLTPA website states in error) just a violation. Now, somebody get busy and find a new red truck to follow around town.
And, I can assure everyone Jerry Juneau does not give a rats a$$ what any of these cruel posters, photographers or bloggers think of him. I wish April 2nd would get here .

  112. Matt,

No need to tell us this:

"NWLATPA has no binding legal power or authority over any elected official. We do not have the power to fire anyone, or recall a politician. "

No one ever made the mistake of thinking you had the power to do anything of importance.

Well said, it looks like the whiners are starting to dissipate..

  114. Someone call Peter Parker! QUICK! I just went to Jerry Juneaus business and saw, now get this, A RED TRUCK! I even went inside to ask if it was Jerrys and he is out of the office for an hour, in HIS red truck. My God, does anybody realize what this means? It means that there are at least 2 identical trucks there... Geez, story blow up, credibility and validity goes, wait... There was none to the story to begin with..

  115. Ok, I'm confused... "Jerry works seven days a week and eight hours a day", "Jerry resigned to spend more time with his family". Sounds like he doesn't care about his family or doesn't have one. Why do all the folks "born and raised" in Bossier Parish think they are "entitled" to everything. That's the problem with never moving away from home... you stay stupid and uneducated. I'm with you Matt and I'm not a "Tea Partier", but I do have common sense... unlike some of the bloggers. If he did not think he had done anything wrong then he would not have resigned.

  116. @ March 14 11:57
Another dummy....who are you talking about born and raised in Bossier Parish ? and entitlements ? oh..it must be Richard ..neither Austin or Juneau was born or raised in Bossier Parish.

    ReplyDelete
  117. @ Mar 14th 11:57am - Yep, you'd definitely be considered with Matt. No surprise there bucko

    ReplyDelete
  118. Last time I checked, Mr Juneau is not running for anything. Dumbazzes!!

    ReplyDelete
  119. No go look at my post from earlier. He resigned because this story was like a pimple on his a$$.
    ROFLMBO!!!

Sounds like he doesn't care about his family or doesn't have one. Why do all the folks "born and raised" in Bossier Parish think they are "entitled" to everything. It's the d-bags like yourself that happen across this blog in spurts that are creating the hairbrained and half wit comments on here... You hear, HEAR, something and run with it... Where are your brain cells? You smoke them away in the late 60's and 70's while you were sitting indian style on the ground absorbing the Earths natural powers, with your rainbow headband, tie dyed t-shirt, maroon bell bottoms and holding up your "peace not war" signs and symbols as our military heros were coming off the plane from a tour in Nam? Disgusting and pathetic your kind is. Get the hell out of Bossier, hippy...

    ReplyDelete
  121. Yes get the hell out!! I agree that post was easily the dumbest out of 122 posts. And, ironically the poster is calling names like stupid and uneducated. I am neither. I am also proud to be born and raised here!! And NEVER LEAVING!

    ReplyDelete
  122. So much is said about the "Good Ole Boy" system and wanting to get rid of it... If they don't want it, go to Shreveport where they don't have the luxury of the good ole boy system. I'd rather keep it and keep things civil in Bossier Parish...

    ReplyDelete
  123. Will someone please tell Jerry to quit paying people to take up for him? It's becoming more and more annoying.

    ReplyDelete
  124. @ March 14 2:58pm - As you withdraw your hand from your soiled britches, please minimize the Richard and Wyatt web pages and scroll up to March 14 comments 10:19am and/or 1:17pm. Read carefully where it says that Jerry basically couldn't care any less about any of these stories. Although it may boost your ego to think something so absurd like Jerry paying people to post, I guess I will have to burst yet another bubble. As I quickly stoop to your level for you to better comprehend my meaning, keep in mind that Jerry Juneau has a higher count in friends in this parish alone than the count that you just "used" on your Wyatt and Richard posters... FTR, I hope that you were in the bathroom cleaning up from your prior engagement with the two poster pictures and the busted bubble just so happened to be a fart bubble that arose and popped in your face. *PLIP*

Surely I stooped low enough to make an immature enough comment that you would understand. Jerry has plenty of friends and doesn't have to give one cent for any of us to post, keep drinking your Fool-Aid...

  125. @March 14, 2011 3:55 PM - I am so glad that finally somebody is saying what many of us have been feeling about this silly little blog!

    ReplyDelete
  126. Let me add that I would bet $$$ he probably does not even know this blog exsists. And I would never tell him. If anyone thinks otherwise they have no clue who he is.

    ReplyDelete
  127. You're too welcome... Jerry knows this blog exists but he laughs and said it doesnt bother him what people think, those who know the truth know he's done nothing wrong. It's just the sharks around here that have come ashore to find blood but can't find the other important life source to help them breath so they have to slither and flop their way back into the water. They move so fast that they forget important resources...

  128. Just saw another Lynn Austin commercial. Glad to see him spreading his message. Good Luck Lynn!!

    ReplyDelete
  129. Nobody reads this blog anyway, what does anyone care

    ReplyDelete
  130. @ March 14 5:07pm - Good question... Who really cares about an invalid story that lacks appropriate knowledge because it would have to contain facts to actually make sense... A bogus story by Matt has brought tons of supporters to Lynn Austin, good job Sciba... Bout time to kick you off of another Tea Party site... What's gonna be next? Cougar and Cubs Tea Party Alliance? The motto can be "Time For A Change". Yall can change each others diapers and you can "boo boo" and cry all you want... It won't matter whether it's over a grown man turning down a pointless interview or a story that contains more mistakes than obama without his teleprompter...

    ReplyDelete
  131. No need to knock this blog,it didn't start the story. It does say that Jerry Juneau said he didnt attend the fundraiser. If he wasn't there I don't see the problem.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Not at the party or not is a minor argument. What's more the issue, I think, is the signs and sign holders at his place of business. This portrays an image to outsiders that he is really more involved in the campaign itself besides renting the building for one evening. All of this combined would be construed as an ethics violation. Not knowing this was a violation is probably the most likely of excuses given. These men weren't aware they were violating such. This has become all to commen amongst some in the local political community it seems. Or, they could quite possibly be choosing to ignore the rules, thinking they are to powerful to have to play by them. Either way, they were broken and that's that. One has to be a complete fool to think there's no other reason for his resignation.

    ReplyDelete
  133. I am in shock after reading the comments attacking Mr Juneau.
I cannot believe someone went as low as mocking his Catholic faith.

And for what? He is not in the race.

However, no one mentioned that Carl Richard, his wife, and 3 children all got baptized and joined the Simple Church 6 weeks ago. Coincidence? Nah.......

    ReplyDelete
  134. I need all you employees to get on the computer and start defending our boss Jerry. He will pay you to type nice things.

    Please see above

    Losers all of you ....LOL

See ya in church - not - never see him there

Bobby called - he wants his appointment back

  135. We will be glad when this election is over -

sick of seeing all the signs and hearing all the bull with this

My vote - abolish the Bossier City Marshal office

    save money

    ReplyDelete
  136. What happened, happened. The man resigned for whatever reason. Right or wrong, it's done, no need to attack him. Everyone needs to let it go.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I don't think any of these Anon comments are causing anyone to dissipate.

We just realized that we're arguing with a 12 year old boy (Anon @ 3:55) and that is just inappropriate.

By the way, bathroom humor never makes you seem intelligent, remember that when you go off to college, young man.

  138. @ 10:50pm -

"We just realized that we're arguing with a 12 year old boy (Anon @ 3:55) and that is just inappropriate."

What's inappropriate is the fact that you actually understood the lingo... As mentioned, I broke my meaning down into the simplest form so people at your level could comprehend... Truth hurts, eh? See ya around, sucker...

  140. Act like adults, if you have something intelligent to say, by all means say it.
    Otherwise, rethink it.

  141. I think it is safe to say that someone running for City Marshall could have some anger issues. And his initials are not LA.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Well Jim, when you're dealing with a certain level of human, you can't expect much intelligence...

    i.e.:

    March 10, 9:04pm
"And I have plenty of money - and plenty of class - to go to a party at the short man's metal building"

    March 11, 1:12pm
"If we want change, then we have to get to the polls on election day" (Sounds like an Obamanite)

    March 11, 7:08pm
"It seems that the only mudslinging has come from the Austin camp." (Disgusting, unintelligent hypocrit)

    March 11, 7:24pm
"So bad he is willing to cheat to get it. Say what you want but Lynn is scared of Sam Wyatt chances." (Ok, we get the joke here)

    March 11, 9:18pm
"I guaran-damn-tee you if someone presented us with hard evidence showing similar violations of Sammy or Carl, we would be just as critical." (Obviously not. Not by your definition of hard evidence.)

    March 11, 9:51pm
"no body cares - go back to Dixie League Ball - LOL" (Really? Grow up)

    March 11, 9:57pm
"Jerry - you gonna have Jane back to the building for another fundraiser -

yea - he had one for her too" (Intelligence here, you really got ol Jerry with that one didn't ya!)

    March 12, 6:47am
"And then there is his refusal to be interviewed by the very Tea Party he claims to support." (You must not pay attention, it's Wyatt and Richard who are members of that Austin bash site.)

    March 14, 11:57am
"That's the problem with never moving away from home... you stay stupid and uneducated. I'm with you Matt and I'm not a "Tea Partier", but I do have common sense..." (Pot meet kettle, this is one of the most ridiculous post's on the entire blog and has zero intelligence.)

    March 14, 10:50pm
"We just realized that we're arguing with a 12 year old boy (Anon @ 3:55) and that is just inappropriate.

By the way, bathroom humor never makes you seem intelligent, remember that when you go off to college, young man." (It doesn't make you seem intelligent when you take the bait left by the guy who you responded to. Funny... AND predictable...)

    ReplyDelete
  143. I can see it now. Sammy and Carl, walking along the fence line in a large field, big oak trees in the distance, sun setting, music begins as they grab hands, and the starting scene from Mad TV's "Lowered Expectations" starts. Looowered expec....taaaaaations

  144. Thanks for highlighting this ridiculous comment:

    March 10, 9:04pm
"And I have plenty of money - and plenty of class - to go to a party at the short man's metal building"

Obviously this person has never seen Jerry Juneau because he is 6 feet tall or more. Must be confusing him with someone else.
    DUMBAZZES AGAIN!

    ReplyDelete
  145. What I found funniest was the fact that he blabs that he's got money AND class and then classlessly calls Jerry a short man when clearly Jerry is tall... I'm almost certain that whoever wrote that is probably around 5'4" with short mans disease. He probably wrote that comment out of his parents basement that he lives in and is referring to the money his parents have... Must think it's his too...

    ReplyDelete
  146. Well, I intend to burst all bubbles of the so called "good ole boys"......actually it is all of us "good women" (not ole women") who rule the world...sorry guys ...lolol
Lighten up folks....it is better for your health I am told...
May the best person win in each race...and if not, support him, her because it affects all of us in some fashion...

    ReplyDelete
  147. Well, somebody has to put a halt to this. I'm just glad she has a functioning head between her shoulders and knows what to say. Must be Conservative! Best of luck to all 3 men, may the best one win. Give support regardless, at least none of them are like Obama and set out to ruin this town, as he wants to ruin this nation.
