Candidates qualify for City Marshal's office

Carl Richard and Sammy Wyatt both qualifed with the Bossier Parish Clerk of Court this morning for the City Marshal position that is on the April 2 ballot.
Richard and Wyatt both indicated that they intend to run an above board campaign, with their emphasis on selling themselves and their qualifications to the voters.
Both said they will not engage in any negative campaigning toward the other candidates, and so far in this election that has proved to be true.
As a side note, Clerk of Court Cindy Johnston is up for re-election this fall.  So far, I have not heard any talk about a challenger.  Not so, however, for Tax Assessor Bobby Edmiston; I have heard that someone else is preparing to run, but I don't have a name yet.  We'll work on that.

  1. I always thought Sammy was taller and had blonde hair -

did you get your photos messed up -blogmaster?

  2. Jim - lets heat up the blog -

reprint that Times article from today talking about our public officials going back to Washington DC Mardis Gras.

  3. Sammy is blonde and tall and sells realestate here locally i thought - i'm i incorrect

thought he was the relative some way of the former Marshall?

    please clarify

  4. "Sammy is blonde and tall and sells realestate here locally i thought - i'm i incorrect
thought he was the relative some way of the former Marshall?
    please clarify"

That is approaching on the bizarre and is not convincing in the least. A weak attempt to justify a cheap shot mailout, but it won't work.

  5. I did the Washington Mardi Gras stuff last year. When the costs are in for this year I'll do it again.

  6. i cant wait for that one myself.

  7. I hear Austin made the Washington Mardi Gras.

  8. Lynn Austin is a person who would take care of a friend and protect that friend at all costs, even if it was at the expense of others.

  9. Anon at 10:12- Well said, you are right on. We don't need another Mr Arrogant Bossier Official.

  10. Anon @ 1:28, I know, seen it with my own two eyes. It's a masonic thing. A masonic brother must be protected at all costs, even if it means screwing over someone completely innocent.

  11. Hey - Mr. Austin is gonna have a wake up call.

Pissed off people in City then School Board then City

    Karma is a bitch -

    get ready

  12. Anon @ 9:39, I hope you are right, but there are a lot of uninformed people in Bossier City that goes by name recognition only. If those people knew the truth Lynn Austin wouldn't have a snowball's chance in Hell of winning.

  13. anon 9:75 - don't worry about the uninformed. Austin should worry about the Uniformed. The men and women that were bossier city uniforms are telling everyone what sort of managment style Mr. Austin used at city hall.

It aint pretty. Circle of Life - what comes around goes around

And yes, I am a bcpd officer and alot of my friends are for anyone but Austin - and we will be voting.

and any threats to our union is not appreciated.

  14. should have been anon 9:57 and wear not were

  15. Ryal Siem plans to run against Bobby Edminston for tax assesor.
