I've known Kyle Martin since he was, as they say, a snot-nosed kid. Kyle is a son of Bossier Parish; he grew up near Plain Dealing.
He is a deputy sheriff in DeSoto Parish now and is involved in supporting Special Olympics. He took a polar plunge - dressed up, as you can see, in special garb. This was part of a bet and it netted Special Olympics $1,600. A lot of people wanted to see Kyle in that Tutu. KSLA has a video of the event, you can watch it
here.
I told Kyle in an email that he is a credit to all of us, I'm sure you will share that sentiment.

Just had to get one more of these in here! |
Congratulations to this young man. We need more like him.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on Kyle. Now, if the mayor and city council of Bossier City doesn't wake up and get serious about keeping up with the pay surrounding agencies pay for law enforcement officers, we'll end up with real clowns, not good officers dressed up like clowns.
ReplyDeleteTell him thank you for coming out and supporting our cause! We sponsor that every year. I'll have to send you a pic of Courtland jumping last year!
ReplyDeleteYour loving daughter-in-law:-)
Kyle, great job on you efforts to support such a great cause! Also, congrats on becoming one of Desoto's finest! I have known Rodney Arbuckle and several of his deputies for several years, and I will say they are great people and some of the finest law enforcement that I have ever met! Wish you could have stayed in Bossier but I fully understand! DPSO is a great department, and Rodney truly cares about his people!
ReplyDeleteYou might be nice guy but you got eyes on you now. Better slow your role down in DeSoto
