  2. A terrible tragedy. Some parents think we shouldn't monitor our child and read her texts, but this stuff is going on all around. We just showed her this to remind her of what is out there.

  3. This whole deal is heartbreaking. What raised my eyebrows initially was the news report I heard.

They said he was last seen texting someone at 3 a.m. ?????

    Ummmm... 3 a.m.? Texting?

  4. Yes, thank you Andy for catching the 3 AM part. That first caught my eye too. At 9 my daughters cell is brought to us to keep overnight and inspect. Remember the posts on abusers. Anyone who initiates a relationship of a sexual nature with and underage child is an abuser.

  6. Darrell, I got some info from a friend this morning...not positive how he knows it...but he said that this boy was staying at a friend's house, and not at his home.

Could explain the texting at 3 am thing.

I guess we'll find out more later.

    Sad deal...

  7. They are on spring break from school this week, and it appears he was staying with a friend. The friend last saw him (texting) at about 3AM. When they woke up he was gone.

  9. we cant watch our children every second of the day and night. so the three am texting prob really isnt that uncommon. the problem is pedetors out smarting our kids. kids think they are indestructable and that stuff only happens to other people. we are other people to other people. keep your kids safe as possible.plus i am sure that mother feels bad enough. to have people judging her parenting skills is just wrong. he wasnot home that night and even if he was this had nothing to do with how she parents.
