Robbery at First Baptist Bossier

Just happened a few minutes ago.  You know, First Baptist - right across from the police station.
Suspect(s) are in custody.  When I get some details, I will provide them.

UPDATED:  It was called in as a burglary, and appears that someone unknown to anyone in the church walked in a side door, when confronted said he was looking for a restroom.  He was arrested, not sure if trespassing or remaining when forbidden.

  1. I can understand why the police where called. There are daycare children there. Most of the time all the doors are locked and almost impossilbe to get in unless you work there. I went there not too long ago to pick up papers from someone in one of thos NUMEROUS offices, and got lost. I am soo glad no one called the police on me, even though I had a reason. But will say, I was stopped and asked who I was and where I was going plenty of times. So Kudos to First Baptist for being safe, but you are a church, can a man use the restroom?

  2. What! a Robbery at First Baptist.
Turn off your scanner, get the real story. This is ridiculous.

It was not a robbery, a guy was trying to break a window and was taken into custody without incident.
Why the hell would put a title like "Robbery at First Baptist Bossier". makes no sense.

  3. I put it up while the police were still on the scene.
If you would read the blog post before you commented on it, you would know:
" It was called in as a burglary, and appears that someone unknown to anyone in the church walked in a side door, when confronted said he was looking for a restroom. He was arrested, not sure if trespassing or remaining when forbidden."

  4. Was the title "Robbery at First Baptist" a scare tactic or what? Police get called out on all kinds of calls that when they get there change signficantly or is not even what they got called out on. You should never post something that is going to alarm the public. its irresponsible.

a burglary is NOT a robbery. let me repeat myself, a burglary is not a robbery. They are two completely different offenses, crimes, and police calls. Again why would you title a post, Robbery at First Baptist Bossier, that was ignorant.

More like attempted break in at the church or hey how about a guy looking for a bathroom, gets arrested.

are you trying to make the church look bad? trying to make the police look bad because they are next door?

  5. No, not trying to make the police or the church look bad. I got a call from someone at the Citizens Bank Building who had just seen the police cars go by, I found out what I could and put it up.
My bad. I said robbery, because at the time that's what I thought. I updated it and said, and I repeat, because you don't seem to understand it:
" It was called in as a burglary, and appears that someone unknown to anyone in the church walked in a side door, when confronted said he was looking for a restroom. He was arrested, not sure if trespassing or remaining when forbidden."
Why are you so obsessed with it?

  6. Why the hell does this thing say, Robbery at First Baptist Bossier.
I go to church there and it is the safest place in Bossier City. I agree with Anon at 11:12, this is not right it should be changed. you are giving the impression that there was a robbery.

You should not post stuff based on a phone call from someone at citizens that saw the police cars, what kind of answer is that. this is not right.
